Norma Nelly García Villegas

Intern of the Bachelor’s in Pedagogy at E.N.E.P. Aragón [National College of Higher Education at Aragón], belonging to the National Autonomous University of Mexico.



She joined the National Institute of Fine Arts ten years ago, collaborating as a professional in the College of Classical and Contemporary Dance, the National Symphonic Orchestra and the Administrative Unit of the Department of Material Resources.

She attended the course “Derechos Humanos Laborales y Fortalecimiento Organizacional” [“Labor Human Rights and Organizational Strengthening”] offered by Centro Laboral Mexicano [Mexican Labor Center], IAP CELAMEX, Institute of Technology and Higher Studies of the West. In addition, she studied courses on: "Computers, Word and Excel" at the Center for Training and Development of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature; “Emancipating Intelligences” at the Colegio del Valle; "Professionalization of Teaching" at the University of Tepeyac.

For 16 years she devoted to teaching as a professor of History and Geography in Secondary level at the Colegio América de Tacuba and Instituto Morelos; she also taught "Civic and Ethical Education" at the Escuela Secundaria Particular Colegio del Valle, and "Remedial Program" at the National School No. 1 of Nezahualcoyotl. She was Director of the Centro de Integración Familiar [Center for Family Integration] CIFA-Cactus, Chiapas PEMEX.

Currently she works within the CITRU’s Documentation Coordination Office, focusing on safeguarding the collections available at the institution and on carrying out processes of:

  • Documentary inventory,
  • Establishment of materials,
  • Consultation service,
  • Guidance for users, and
  • General support to the researchers of this centre.
