Iconography of the Mexican Stage



Visual history of the theater artist in Mexico

Iconography of the Mexican Stage is a digital photo catalog that includes around 700 restored pictures from the nearly 1,900 that form the Armando de Maria y Campos Photographic Archive. This photo-catalog, made by researcher Héctor Quiroga Pérez, enables dynamic consulting while protecting the originals. To date it has generated the following products:

Theater Anteroom
Website. Selection of the first restored pictures from the Armando de Maria y Campos Photographic Archive.

Photo-catalog
It includes all the pictures that were restored during the internship of the aforementioned researcher at the Workshop of Digital Graphic of the Multimedia Center (CENART).

Edited in Mexico by CITRU-INBA-CONACULTA in 2010. Project’s end product. Art book that includes a selection of the restored pictures that best illustrates the history of Mexican theater during the transition of the theater genres from the end of the XIX century to part of the second half of the XX century.
